Not sound effects, but the real thing.
Passing through the noren curtain of Fumon, the bustling streets of Tokyo suddenly transform into a serene space reminiscent of ancient times. As you immerse yourself in this tranquil atmosphere, the samurai show begins.
The show starts quietly in the silence, but gradually, the sounds increase. “Ha!” “Swish!” “Clash!” The sounds made by the actors as they swing their swords and clash their blades, their breaths, are real and up close, unlike the artificial sound effects you hear in movies and dramas, sending shivers down your spine. When they walk on the tatami, you can hear the distinctive footwork of samurai, sounds unfamiliar to foreigners. We hope you’ll enjoy listening to these as well.
Feeling the wind
Not only the sounds, but also the wind and intensity you feel from the actors moving right in front of you are full of presence, drawing everyone in. The sight of swords being swung inside the old house is breathtaking.
Tokyo, where silence and noise intersect
The streets of Tokyo and the ancient ambiance of Fumon, the hustle and bustle of the city and the tranquility of Fumon, the calm and movement of the samurai show, all create a unique experience when you step away from the lively city.
